We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a proven background in the payments industry to oversee the ongoing operations (RUN) of our current platform and participate in the transformation (BUILD) towards a new platform.
This role involves managing an existing solution that integrates customer onboarding, KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, and payment management.
The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between internal business teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management (RUN)
• ITIL-Based Run Management: Implement and oversee operational processes based on ITIL best practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Serve as the primary contact for internal business teams and external service providers.
• Ticket Management: Collaborate closely with the provider's teams to manage and prioritize tickets in JIRA, ensuring efficient incident tracking, request handling, and timely resolution.
• Sprint Management: Coordinate development sprints, ensuring alignment with business requirements, delivery schedules and budget forecasts.
• Test Management: Oversee the creation and execution of test scenarios, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate functional and technical deliverables.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting mechanisms with key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational efficiency and service quality. Report to management at steering committees.
2. Transformation (BUILD)
• Process Formalization: Support the design, documentation, and implementation of
operational processes and workflows within the future solution.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, document, and mitigate risks; propose solutions to
ensure project success and compliance with deadlines.
• Define the operational procedures for the new solution during the RUN phase and establish a transition plan from BUILD to RUN
• Ensure operational monitoring once the platform is in production.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Technical and Business Expertise
• Proficient in software development, application lifecycle management, and architecture of key technical components, including APIs, databases, and other core software elements
• Deep understanding of payment systems, KYC processes, and related regulatory requirements.
Operational Skills
• Strong familiarity with ITIL frameworks and their application in operational management.
• Proficiency in JIRA for issue tracking, sprint management, and comprehensive reporting.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies applied to software development.
• Ability to lead operational teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
• Effective management of relationships with outsourced IT service providers
Mindset
• Working in a fast-paced and changing environment, with the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and situations.
• Take ownership of projects, working closely with cross-functional teams
• Maintain a clear vision for the product, prioritizing user needs and working with stakeholders to guide its development and evolution.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management within the payments industry.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
• Fluency in English
